Non-Discriminatory Policy

The primary purpose of Immanuel Lutheran School is to provide quality Christian education for the children of the Immanuel Lutheran Church & School congregation. When additional space is available, positions will be opened to the community. New students, except for Kindergarten, shall not be accepted into the school unless they have demonstrated by previously administered standardized test(s) or by personal examination by instructional staff that such students are at approximately grade level or higher based on percentile or stanine, with particular emphasis being placed on their academic standing in the areas of reading, English, and mathematics.
In accordance with county and state requirements, a copy of a birth certificate is required as proof of age when enrolling a student in the following grades:

Immanuel Lutheran School admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, and ethnic origin in administration of its education policies, admission policies, and other school-administered programs.

Kindergarten Admission Process


1. Submit a Student Application with non-refundable application fee and copy of a birth certificate.


2. Complete screening with the Kindergarten teacher.


3. Interview with the Principal and/or Admissions Director.


4. Receive notification of acceptance or denial.

Record of Health Requirements

All Kindergarten students, as well as new students to the state of Florida, must submit a Florida Certification of Immunization (Form CH 680) and Student Health Examinations Form (Form CH 3040) as distributed by the Florida Department of Health. The record of immunizations should include DTP, OPV, HIB, MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella. Immunizations are to be updated as required by the State of Florida.

Grades K-8 McKay Admission Process

Grades 1-8 Admission Process

1. Submit a Student Application with non-refundable application fee and copy of a birth certificate.


2. Provide copies of the past TWO school years report card, standardized test scores, most recent IEP, and any diagnostic evaluations (i.e. psychological, psychiatric, aptitude, speech, etc.). Kindergarten will not need to provide previous year's report card.


3. Complete academic screening with the Admissions Director.


4. Child-Study team will meet to review IEP.


4. Interview with the Principal and/or Admissions Director.


5. Receive notification of acceptance or denial.
