One of the gifts God gives his children is physical ability. Our philosophy is to help our students develop physically, as well as intellectually, emotionally, socially, and creatively. Providing an extra-curricular athletic program is one way to do this.
Immanuel offers students in Grades 5 – 8 an opportunity to be involved in team sports after school. Basketball, cross country, flag football, golf, soccer, softball, and volleyball are the team sports available to the students. In the event that there are not enough players to make up a team, 4th Grade students may be invited to play on junior varsity teams and/or 6th Grade students may be invited to play on varsity teams.
Immanuel Lutheran School is a member of Brandon Christian Athletic League (BCAL). Our teams compete with teams from the BCAL, other Lutheran schools, and in various tournaments.
Although winning is a valid goal, playing by the rules, good sportsmanship, academic eligibility, and having fun are primary concerns for all team sports.
